Should TV commercials for alcohol /fast-food chains be banned?

Commercials for Gambling sites should be banned. Here in Canada they play them constantly during hockey games which kids do watch.

Not sure. Both can be fine in moderation, unlike cigs which are poison at any level. Maybe a warning at the end and some limits on advertising fast food on kids/family shows and channels (I don't think alcohol advertising is allowed on these already). Maybe alcohol ads have to be after 9pm, too.

I don't think so. I don't care about alcohol but I like seeing new food places so if commercials were banned then I wouldn't get to see some of what's what however annoying they can be sometimes.

With that thought in mind, ads for junk food, candy, snack cakes, sodapop... and whatever these are

I don't think so. I don't care about alcohol but I like seeing new food places so if commercials were banned then I wouldn't get to see some of what's what however annoying they can be sometimes.

I kind of like having fast-food commercials especially if there are some that are new in town; although, I have to keep in mind that nothing is EVER as good as it looks on TV.

Yes all the food look so good and when you go and order some turn half of that .... and looks like a 5 years old prepare it

LOL. I remember when KFC was the only game in town in my childhood (70s). It was a big treat for my family back in the day.

Here in Canada we have Mary Brown's, but my hometown didn't have one back then. They started in Newfoundland and didn't really become widespread until later.

And then Popeye's came up here maybe a decade or so ago.

I have kind of soured on KFC and if I have fast food fried chicken, it is usually Popeye's or Mary Brown's nowadays. But I don't really eat it much, leaning more to Middle Eastern fast food like shawarma and falafel.

Absolutely not for fast food, but I agree with gambling, alcohol and smoking/vaping based commercials being banned. Even though tobacco smoking is slowly fading, vaping has taking over and become a huge addiction, even more than cigs ever were. Not to mention, drunk driving is a huge issue that we need to take more steps to prevent. Not advertising alcohol is the first step.

Yeah, I don't think any alcohol commercials should be aired when you know kids in your household are going to see it. Schools and churches preach against it.

It should be censored for the same reason that they don't advertise porn on live television.
